New 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited at Chuck Patterson for Chico, CA
The 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is a 4-door, on/off-roading, midsize SUV that fits five passengers. You will make an impression in any of the available colors for the exterior of this 2017 jeep, including three new ones: Chief, Acid Yellow, or Gobi. New this year as well are standard LED headlights and lamps on Sahara and Rubicon trims (available on the Sport trim). These increase the high-beam output levels by 90 percent more than halogens! The 'Cold Weather Group' becomes available on Rubicon models and has the following features: 17-inch tires, the 'Power Convenience Group', and an engine block heater, plus a few more handy items. The 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited has 7 decades (plus!) of 4x4 engineered designs and innovation so you know that this is the brand you want to go by for comparison within your search.
Under the Wrangler Unlimited's Hood
The 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine produces 285 horsepower and gets 260 lb-ft of torque. There is both a front and a rear 5-link suspension system, live axles, electronic lockers, and an option to get a 6-speed manual (or a 5-speed automatic transmission). The 2017 Unlimited is optionable with three model-dependent axle gear ratios-- 3.21, 3.73 or 4.10. With an approach angle (best-in-class) of 42.2 degrees, departure angle of 32.3 degrees, and a breakover angle of 25.8 degrees, you can't go wrong! There are black-sidewall tires rolling under the Rubicon edition, and it also employs electric locking differentials on the rear and the front. It also has the Rock-Trac NV241 two-speed transfer case (with a low-range gear ratio of 4.0:1), and a disconnecting front sway bar (which is important when you just need more articulation off-road). Otherwise, the Command-Trac NV241, 2-speed and part-time transfer case, gets a 2.72:1 low-range gear ratio. The Unlimited is obviously going to be able to handle anything that you throw at it, but, if you still are not certain, Jeep provides an optional limited-slip rear differential by Trac-Lok, which achieves extra torque and grip in snow, sand, mud or other adverse conditions. Then there is the fact that the equipped Unlimited can tow (max) 3,500-lbs!
Design of Jeep Wrangler Unlimited
The four Jeep Wrangler trims within the Unlimited style are: the Sport, Sport S, Sahara, and the Rubicon. The Jeep Wrangler's usual standbys are here: removable doors/tops/half-doors, circular headlamps, exposed hinges, four doors, trapezoid-shaped wheel flares, a seven-slot grille, and even a fold-down windshield. And for music while mudding there is an 8-speaker audio system standard or an available 'Premium Alpine Audio Package' with 9 Alpine speakers, a 552-watt amplifier, and a subwoofer. The deer and maybe even the bears will run when they hear you coming miles away! There is 31.5 cubic feet of space behind the backseat and when folded down there is 70.6 cubic feet of cargo space. The 8-speakered Sport trim level gets a bigger gas tank, AC, 16-inch steel wheels, on- and off-road tires, a height-adjustable driver seat, a folding 60/40-split seat, tow hooks, fog-lights, a full-size spare tire, tumble-forward backseat, skid plates, full metal doors with crank-able windows, cruise control, and an aux audio jack. The Sport S substitutes the standard fog-lights for a rear- and quarter-window dark-tinted set, and slightly changed tires. The Sahara trim throws in the 'Power Convenience Group' features, tube-shaped side-steps (and passenger handles), automatic LED headlights, LED fog-lights, 18-inch alloy wheels, extra exterior painted trim and body panels, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and satellite radio. With the Rubicon, there are automatic LED headlamps, 17-inch alloy wheels, the 'Power Convenience Group', low range gear engineering, special tires, rock rails, and the inside hood insulation. Drivers will find a mutually wrapped in leather shift knob/steering wheel combo, a 115-volt outlet, AC and satellite radio-all standard.
Are there heavy-duty axles included in the 2017 Unlimited trims?
The Sport and Sahara trims have a Dana 44 rear axle and a Dana 30 front axle, where the Rubicon trim reinforces both axles further with the heavy-duty Dana 44 level.
What's the properly equipped towing capacity of this vehicle?
The Wrangler sees towing capability up to 3,500 pounds.
How do I find out if I can get a Trade-In Approval?
We have a Trade-In Appraisal in order to see if you qualify. Trade-In Form.
If you're counting, there are about twenty-four standard and available safety factors built into the Unlimited. Available standard are advanced multistage driver and front-passenger airbags, electronic roll mitigation, electronic stability control (ESC), Hill-start Assist, an anti-theft engine immobilizer, and both trailer-sway and brake traction control. The IIHS rated the 2017 Unlimited with a 'Good' score in the front-impact tests, after testing. All in all, this is truly a capable- if not THE MOST capable- machine to head out on the road in, and you could certainly come check one out here at Chuck Patterson Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram today!
