The Chrysler Pacifica is a new take on a minivan. It is a remix of what worked and also new ideas and designed that are blended together to create something for the current times. The Pacifica adds a flair of new age style along with a newly designed powertrain which are two things that were lacking previously. The Pacifica adds more visually then some of its boxier predecessors, there are new wheels which can be had up to 20 inches tall and help envision a new stance that appears sportier. The mighty Pacifica is powered by a 3.6-liter V-6 that creates 287 horsepower and 252 lb.-ft. of torque. It utilizes an automatic transmission with smooth shifting and 9 different speeds along with implementation of engine stop start technology. Chrysler is proud to announce that these minivans have the lightest body structure within their class that will most definitely effect performance in a good way.
Design of Chrysler Pacifica
In the 2017 Pacifica, Chrysler is offering a Stow 'n' Go Assist feature which is the ability to have seats folding with a single button being pressed. The controls are located on the inside of the vehicle and it folds the second-row seats into the floor. Parents with also love the child friendly aspect allowing for multiple child-seats to swap out. Carpooling will also become easier as there are up to five LATCH positions in the Pacifica. The interio of the Pacifica is very quiet, because of the implemented tighter structure and active noise cancellation across all of the models in the line. Some features onboard the 2017 Pacifica include a newly designed Uconnect Theater system, a 10-inch touch screen, a seven-inch driver information display and a system that includes many new media systems, voice command systems and a great deal more. There is also a new vacuum in the minivan which is powered by Ridgid and is called "Stow'n Vac." And everyone gets in on a brighter interior, thanks to a panoramic dual-panel moon roof over the front two rows and a fixed-panel one over the third row.
With the new Pacifica comes many new safety features. Before you can really even get to the specific equipment it is quite noteworthy to know that the Pacifica is built on an entirely new body structure. There is also new technology being used to increase safety called Surround View which is a camera system utilizing four cameras and adding up to a full 360 degrees of visibility. There is a ParkView camera mounted in the back to assist with backups as well as blind spot monitoring. There is also parallel and perpendicular park assist which comes in handy in cities especially.
